Hi! My name is Henry Kerns, and I am the founder and owner of Upstate Picture-Perfect Painting. My painting journey began most unexpectedly. In 1975, while attending Nashville Auto-Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee, I was assigned to a college work-study program with the city of Nashville Housing Authority, painting public housing to pay for my tuition and housing. What began as a way to help pay for college evolved into a 50-year career, as I continued painting long after graduation. Customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth referrals are the driving forces behind the growth and success of UPPP.  Painting has become a part of me—it’s something I’m passionate about, transforming homes and buildings into beautiful, meaningful spaces.
